The Warsaw Book Fair (Warszawskie Targi Książki) is the largest Polish book festival, this year's event will take place from 9 to 12. September 2021. In 2020, the fair was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Every year, around a thousand writers, translators, illustrators, journalists and representatives of the book industry go to the fair. The Czech Republic will bring to the fair 15 authors selected by the Dramaturgical Council.
The hosting of the Czech Republic at the Warsaw Book Fair is being prepared by the Moravian Library on behalf of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, which initiated and co-finances the project. The project will also be supported by the Czech Center Warsaw, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Warsaw and the Czech Literary Center.
